Due to popular demand, a second Real Homes Live! Theatre will be available for 2011 where visitors can share the passions of our Real Homes celebrity experts with free daily in-depth seminars on transforming your home. Experts include Michael Holmes (Real Homes editor in chief, formerly presenter of ‘I Own Britain’s Best Home’), Julia Kendell (DIY SOS and ITV1’s Daybreak), Matt James (Designer and expert on ITV’s Love Your Garden) and resident eco expert Charlie Luxton (DIY SOS and Build a new Life in the Country).
In addition to presenting the seminar sessions, our Real Homes magazine experts will also be on hand at The Advice Centre for a drop-in clinic to answer your questions. If you have a home improvement problem or dilemma to solve then you can talk one-to-one with our experts. Bring along your plans and see how their ideas can improve your project.
For visitors requiring expert advice, Specialist Masterclasses will be running daily sessions to address your specific issues while adding space and value to your home. The show is also jam-packed with interactive stands including the Tricks of the Trade by our resident DIY Doctor with step-by-step tutorials to help you gain confidence so you can undertake basic home improvement tasks.
If you’re looking to transform your Victorian wreck or turn a building into a contemporary living space then drop by the Period Property Pavilion for advice from Period Living magazine experts on how to sympathetically modernise a traditional property without compromising on charm and character.
For those visitors with ‘green fingers’ the Landscaping & Gardens zone sponsored by Tendercare is the place for you. Matt James, gardening expert who has recently joined ITV’s Love Your Garden, will demonstrate how to use your outdoor space whether you’re an urban dweller or country resident. The four new show gardens on display at the show include a rooftop terrace, town house garden, city patio and suburban garden.
