VPhase Voltage Optimisation Device on Show at NHIS 2010
Monday, September 27, 2010
VPhase plc is exhibiting its domestic voltage optimisation device at this year’s National Home Improvement Show (1st – 3rd October 2010). The VPhase unit is the smart new way to help homeowners cut their electricity bills typically by 10%, reduce carbon emissions and lower energy use; all without changing their lifestyle or supplier.
The low-cost VPhase unit uses voltage optimisation technology to manage the incoming voltage to the home, keeping it at a constant lower level of around 220V in the UK. The result is that electrical appliances use less electricity, are more efficient and cost less to run. The VPhase device, which fits next to the fuse box, works immediately, saving energy across a wide range of appliances throughout the home and it’s simply a case of fit, forget and save instantly. The carbon savings have been calculated to be at least 4 tonnes over the 25+ year life of the product – the equivalent of driving roughly 22,000km in an average size family car.
VPhase Marketing Manager, Matthew Cody comments: “This technology has been saving large companies millions each year, but this is the first time it’s been available on a domestic scale. We are very excited at the prospect of showing visitors to the National Home Improvement Show just how VPhase can help make a considerable difference to their lives and their pockets!”
Recent tests have demonstrated savings across a range of home appliances including 17% on fridges and freezers, 15% on incandescent light bulbs and even 10% on energy saving light bulbs. The VPhase unit also featured on BBC’s DIY SOS as an effective way to reduce household energy bills and energy waste.
The unit costs £250 when fitted at the same time as a consumer unit, and can be quickly and easily fitted by a qualified electrician. The VPhase has a 5 year warranty and with payback periods typically less than this, represents a risk free green investment. Visit www.vphase.co.uk or call 0845 003 8222 for more details.
