Who visits the show
This is the event for anybody serious about improving their home. From restoration to extension to remodelling, nowhere else offers such extensive advice, inspirational ideas and practical products in one place. The event takes place from 30 September to 2 October and targets home-owners looking to renovate, extend or re-design their properties.
People with serious projects: In 2010, the exhibition attracted 17,000 visitors with active home improvement projects, of which 76% were looking for products & services to assist them with a current home improvement project. The number of attendees and exhibitors is expected to rise a further 30% in 2011.
People that ONLY go to THIS show: Post-show research indicated that 40% of attendees do not attend any other home related show.
People with the ability to make the decisions: The average household income of each visitor was £69,944 (2.5 times the national average). 94% of our audience are from the socio-economic group ABC1.
People with the time and money to spend at the show: Last year, 78% of visitors spent 3 or more hours at the show. Our visitors are serious about the event, their home improvement projects and making the most of their budgets.
People who have heard of the show's reputation and excellence: The National Home Improvement Show was a Finalist in AEO Excellence Awards 2011 (Best Consumer Exhibition) and a finalist in the Exhibition News Awards 2010 (Best Launch). 88% of visitors in 2010 said they would recommend the show to a friend.
