Julia Kendell
With twenty years design experience Julia is enjoying phenomenal success within the interior design industry, having worked on far-ranging projects from individual residential kitchens to £5 million property refurbishments, both in the UK and abroad.
Julia is currently BBC1's 'queen of diy and design!' and is currently filming her third series of DIY SOS with Nick Knowles and the team. Julia thoroughly enjoys getting her hands dirty and believes that to be a good designer you have to fully understand the 'nuts and bolts' of building.
Her passion lies in two main areas, renovating old properties and self-build eco homes. She and her partner have just completed a fabulous timber-framed property on the riverside incorporating cutting-edge 'green' technologies.
For the past 12 years Julia has run her own design business and in recent years has been one of the main design presenters for '60 Minute Makeover' on ITV1, and has worked on a special for 'Tonight with Trevor McDonald' . Inspite of an impressive client list, including many celebrities, Julia enjoys her work for families on DIY SOS most of all.
